As part of my final assignment in my Microfiction class, I was to submit a complete portfolio of five micro fiction stories that I wrote during the course of the semester. I had the liberty to assemble my works with graphic elements, so I chose to design the portfolio in the style of a zine with collaged found imagery. My intention is to bring out the overarching theme of self discovery in the midst of a higher power, thus becoming the inspiration for the title: Elevated. I really enjoyed combining elements of modern culture with more traditional, naturalist expectations within my image making process.
