With genetics, human nature, religion and social class being major themes discussed in the novel, I decided to focus on the imagery of the DNA and its distinctive ladder-like shape to reflect on the synopsis of the book. The general sentiment of this novel manifested an eerie and abstracted perception of society in dystopian scientific lens, with individuality being both the salvation and destruction in different ways for each character. I wanted to use the depth of field to give the sensation of viewing something very microscopic and extremely vast at the same time.
